Arch pain occurs when the soft tissues of plantar surface of the foot get stressed due to excessive loading.

The most common cause of arch pain is Plantar Fasciitis but it can also be due to sprains of the plantar ligaments and strains of the muscles in the feet. Poor foot function, such as over pronation, can lead to biomechanical anomalies during the weight bearing phase of gait and in turn lead to excess loading.

Prostep Podiatry uses some of the most advanced gait analysis equipment in Australia to assist in analysing what is causing your arch pain and to then design and optimum treatment regime for you.
